Canteen Building in the brown’s bay restoration project. GFRC cladding panels strengthening foundation for sustainable future. The canteen building has been clad with a coastal-inspired texture known as “coastline texture” in a smooth grey finish. This cladding technique has been executed with seamless joints, resulting in a visually continuous and uniform surface. Situated on the beach of the Thousand Islands, the choice of the coastline texture for cladding imparts a natural and organic appearance to the small canteen block. The texture likely mimics the look and feel of natural coastal elements, such as the weathered appearance of rocks, sand, or perhaps the waves along the coastline. This approach to the building’s design and material selection creates a harmonious blend between the canteen structure and its coastal surroundings. The use of the coastline texture in a grey smooth finish not only provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance but also helps the building seamlessly integrate with the natural environment, enhancing its overall visual appeal.
